Bring Your Dog To Work Day – 21st June 2019

On 21st June 2019 don't be surprised to see:  a terrier on the train, a boxer on the bus, a lurcher in the lift, a collie at the computer, a ridgeback in reception or a labrador in the Boardroom as dog owners across the UK give their dog (s) a job for the day!

There will be thousands of dogs across the country joining their owners at work for this year's; Bring You Dog To Work Day.

So liven-up your office – here’s what you’ll need to do.

The facts say that sharing the workspace with dogs is good for productivity and wellbeing.

THE BENEFITS OF TAKING PART

Many scientific studies, have concluded that the presence of pets can substantially reduce a person's stress level in the workspace. 

Increased job satisfaction, team co-operation and morale have all been reported in employees that spend the workday with their pets.

In fact, a study published by the International Journal of Workplace Health Management (2010) concluded that the presence of dogs in the work place even had a positive effect on those employees who didn't have a dog of their own. 

So in addition to raising funds for animal welfare charities, Bring Your Dog To Work Day is likely to boost the productivity and happiness of the employees within your company. 

The aim of Bring Your Dog To Work Day is to raise money for animal welfare charities, while promoting the benefits of bringing dogs into safe work environments. This year the event raised money for All Dogs Matter, and as sponsors of the official web site, Trusted Pet Carers have contributed to this worthy cause. 

All Dogs Matter is a charity that rescues and rehomes more than 400 dogs a year in London, Norfolk and the surrounding areas, and has three members of staff. The dogs in their care are either strays, are relocated from pounds, or simply come from owners who can no longer keep them. A mixture of foster homes and kennel spaces are used to take care of the dogs.   We encourage you to raise money on the day for any of your chosen charities.  More info for this specific organisation is at the bottom of our page.
